Outfitted with Avet’s renowned dual-speed gear system, the HXJ 5/2 Raptor provides a high-speed 5.4:1 retrieve for fast line pickup and a low-speed 2.4:1 gear for added torque when fighting large species. The reel's powerful lever drag system with adjustable strike preset delivers up to 50 lbs of drag at full, giving anglers exceptional stopping power. The Avedrag dry carbon fiber drag offers smooth, consistent performance without degradation, even under heavy use. With 8 sealed stainless steel ball bearings and a silent dog-and-gear anti-reverse system, the reel ensures rock-solid cranking and long-term reliability in the harshest environments
