my favorite kind of season
There is fine richness and vibrancy to the still well-defined middle weight flavors that are presently on the tightly wound side but I suspect that this moderately complex effort will flesh out and thus be accessible after only a few years of bottle age
Laurent employs one-third new oak for this cuvée
Intensive and sustainable work in the vineyard enables us to harvest grapes of optimal balance for vinification without interfering with the wines’ inner structure
the estate and surrounding area were formerly part of the Opera Pia Barolo (a castle that is kind of like the Hospices du Beaune: part educational institution and part hospital) whose vineyards were traditionally worked by sharecroppers
Deutz Champagne Rosé Brut NV TEQUILA my favorite kind of seasonChampagne Deutz owns 42 hectares of vineyards, which supply 20% of its grapes. The rest of the grapes are sourced from growers, many of whom have been working with Deutz for generations. Grapes are harvested from the Montagne de Reims, Cte des Blancs, and Valle de la Marne, with over 80% of the grapes coming from vineyards that are rated Premier or Grand Cru. Harvest is usually around mid September and is done by hand, with pickers paid by the hour
